Introduction to Enia
What is Enia?
Enia is a worldbuilding project I started by myself on 23rd of July 2026.
What is worldbuilding?
Worldbuilding is easier to imagine if we are talking about fantasy novels or animes, so think about your favorite isekai anime. Now think about how the world of that anime has its own rules, magic system, culture and language. Those are called worldbuilding.
About the worldbuilding of Enia
My world, Enia, follows a very simple premise. It was created by answering some philosophical questions. I started by giving a definition and a purpose to the concept of a "soul". Souls have energy and follow basic physics principles, energies can be turned into other energies. Anything created by "magic" is actually just soul energy converted into other energies like heat, electric and radiation. These energies can also be manipulated to mimic similar stuff like mass and motion.
About the contract law
Since energy is manipulated via the human mind, the concept of contracts exist. To create a contract; all concerned parties need an understanding of soul energy (aka magic), all concerned parties should communicate and understand all of the rules imposed, and all concerned parties should come to an acceptance of this contract. When a contract forms all parties involved seal some soul energy, this seal can only be broken if those who "signed" the contract break the rules they agreed upon. If the seal is broken that old and trapped soul energy will be released but the soul will reject it, causing it to leak to the body. Uncontrolled energy release has the same results as our world, its radiation (and possibly explosion), which an average human cant survive. This means breaking a contract causes death.
What to do with all this?
All magical systems are built on top of these basic premises, so they all make sense, magic is logic. Then I wrote interesting characters or stories that use these systems, I placed these stories on a chronological order and my world now has history, culture, language, wars, cults and gods.
If you like finding about these systems you can read the worldbuilding page, it will help give you an understanding of the world but it might also spoil some of the stories for you.
If you wanna get immersed in the stories you can go read them from the stories page, I have standalone one-time stories that document incidents that happened in the world called "glimpses" but I also have series that follow a main character, similar to isekai animes.
